I’m not sure how many of you in the otakusphere know about Chage and Aska (who are, in my humble opinion, one of the best musicians to come out of Japan) but I’m sure those of you born before the 1990s would have at least heard their extremely famous and ear-worm-worthy hit single Say Yes.
Why do I say pre-1990s baby otaku? Well, for one reason that if you were born after 1990, you might not have heard of Chage and Aska, or their songs because the J-Music scene increasingly, became er more, fan-servicey.

So, why am I talking about this legendary J-pop duo all of a sudden? Partly because Studio Ghibli animated one of their PVs (On Your Mark), but more because I’m attending ASKA’s press conference on Thursday!
The proceedings, of course, will be posted here. ;D In any case, whether you know Chage & Aska’s music, the Aska post that I’ll be posting up will be a great opportunity to get to know good Japanese music.
And I mean, really good. The kind that will make you shiver after 2 hours. That kind of awesome. I’m more of a 1990s J-Music person - minus er, my heavy fangirling of Arashi - so if you guys would like to see more muzak posts on the time when I personally think, J-music was at it’s peak, just holler!
So now all I have to do is plan how to get from the press conference to my driving lessons without being late. : More information then!

aren’t you a big young to know about Chage and Asuka? ;-)
@0ne: LOL!!! Blame it on my dad! XD
It was really funny when the mistake was made. I wonder if it was on purpose, LOL
@double: haahha maybe they subconsciously wanted to screw up for laughs.
