Miku didn’t like rain much, it got her hair wet and no one usually came to hear her sing - it was a troublesome affair after all, to walk about in the rain with or without an umbrella.
So when the rain started to turn to a drizzle, and the drizzle fizzled out, Miku was joyous! Maybe someone would finally come to hear her sing?

Thoughts on Goodsmile’s Hatsune Miku nendoroid:
Aside from my Tachikoma nendoroids, GS’s Hatsune Miku is officially my first humanoid nendoroid. My mum saw her and chastised me for buying “aliens and monsters” (the latter a reference to the Ryuk nendoroid) and that normal human girls never have green hair. Hurhurhur.
I had a couple of expectations before I actually received her - most of them high - and I’m glad to say that Miku has sailed past most of my parameters for being a good figure. She’s solidly built, doesn’t fall apart too easily, and changing her various parts isn’t difficult (vs Lelouch who needs pliers =A=;; ).
I think what sets apart normal PVS/ABS figures from nendoroids is the fact that the playability and interactivity of nendoroids come before everything else, which might appeal or not appeal to the average figure collector. That said, it’s a good introduction to the (horrifically expensive) world of figure collecting. Nendoroids don’t take themselves too seriously (but the workmanship I assure you, is full on Serious) and it doesn’t scream “I LIKE SCANTILY CLAD LADIES”. (Probably because there isn’t much skin to show in the first place lol.)
My main gripes with Miku is probably her hair. Her twin-tails to be exact. Now before all the crazy, rabid twin-tail fanboys jump on my case (”GASSSSSP HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE HER TWIN-TAILS!!! BLASPHEMY!!!!!!”), it’s not the hair-style I dislike, it’s the hair-pieces. I’m not sure if it’s just my Miku, or a chronic problem with everyone else’s, but her twin-tails like to fall off. Which is kind of annoying, especially when you’re trying to coax them into a gravity defying position.
From afar, the paint-work is representative of GoodSmile’s QC, another reason why I tend to almost buy exclusively GS products these days (HI~~ SPONSORSHIP??). Up-close however, there are the usual human flaws, but nothing too big to create a fuss about. There is though, a rather glaring seam-line on the top of Miku’s back hair-piece which occasionally irks me. It’s like it’s taunting me. :\
Overall, if you’re thinking about getting into figure-collecting, the Nendoroid series is a good way to start. Hatsune Miku will definitely make a good example of your otaku-ness (seriously, she’s over-rated). If you want her, there’s going to be a re-release soon, so place your pre-orders before you regret it!
I’m going to pack my room now, and charge my camera batteries. Ugh. Crick in my neck.
I need to figure out a way to lower the compression on the files before I shift over to a new server (which might take a while). The photos look awesome on my PC, but when uploaded, the quality takes a nose dive for the worse. Woe!

Nice pics and Miku is the only Nendo i really like but still not sure if i’m going to buy it or not …
But seeing reviews like this make me think about buying her ^^
@James: You really should consider!!!
Yes i know ^^
i’m going to regret if i can’t find one after the second batch ^^
but i already preordered the two Miku’s PVC that come later this year so it’ll be too much Miku :(
still , that Nendo is TOO cute so maybe i will buy it :(
i love her eyes (L)
miku is the cutest nendroid ever! ^_^
i just love twin tails!
There’s also the GSC 1/8 Miku coming up. More and more Miku madness coming right up! Anyone pre-ordered it?
@James: You pre-ordered both versions? LOL that does seem like a lot of Miku. I only pre-ordered the GSC one because I like(d) the design better. Hope I don’t regret it!
@Gorden: Wait until Pastel Ink comes out!!!!
@Ken: かわいすぎね、ミク。 I pre-ordered the GSC Miku as opposed to the Volks one.
Yes i did preorder the two ^^
i prefer the design of the GSC but i like the size of the Volks better ^^
Miku is everywere :’(
Volks Miku poses exactly as the one during installation of Vocaloid 2. Glossy and nice.
GSC Miku looks more cute and cheerful. Okaerinasai, goshuujin-sama!
To have both is eternal bliss…XD
Great review!!!!
Loved it!!!
